Knowledge OutcomesThe student will be able to :1. Identify how school counselors can function as advocates for students.2. State how school counseling practice can align with educational reform efforts to promote social, emotional and academic learning for all students. 3. Identify the educational reform practices in their respective schools.4. Identify how school counselors can use a variety of approaches to accomplish guidance program objectives.5. Describe 2 approaches to accomplish the Guidance Program at their appropriate school level.6. State how school counseling programs can be planned, organized, delivered and evaluated.7. Identify preventive and wellness curriculum and materials available to support students and parents at their level.8 Identify how school counselors can function as systemic change agents9. Explain how legal, ethical, and professional issues impact practice.10. Identify the strengths and needs of individuals and groups from a variety of racial, ethnic, cultural, experiential, and linguistic backgrounds.11.
